THEBAULT INGENIERIE, which specialises in the design and construction of turnkey projects, has just obtained Very Good BREEAM certification for its office blocks, LA FACTORY, which were designed and built by its teams in Cesson-Sévigné (Ille-et-Vilaine). This 4400 m² project which was delivered last autumn was designed around a sustainable concept.
4400 M² OF OFFICES
THEBAULT INGENIERIE built 4400 m² of office blocks in Cesson-Sévigné on the outskirts of Rennes, divided into two separate units. The first has become its headquarters and is also the regional site for the IDEC Group and all the different types of work (Planning, Developing, Investing and Designing and Building). The second block also found a buyer. A separate 2500 m² third building a few metres away is currently being built, oncve again by the teams from THEBAULT INGENIERIE.
SPECIAL ARCHITECTURE
The LA FACTORY boasts some bold architectural choices using noble materials and a design based on old factories. There is a brick frontage, black aluminium frames and the interior is wide open to the outside with large windows. These architectural elements contribute to ensuring a warm and light work place for those working here.
A SUSTAINABLE APPROACH
At the same time as working to ensure the building fits in with the surroundings of the Château de la Monniais Park, the LA FACTORY programme also benefits from a sustainable approach, which has just been rewarded with Very Good BREEAM certification. That expresses the work done on designing and building a project which aimed to have as little impact on the environment as possible. There are solutions to ensure energy savings with reinforced insulation and LED lighting.
