THEBAULT INGENIERIE, which specialises in the design and construction of turnkey projects involving food factories, has just completed the construction of a huge new project for SCHREIBER. It took nineteen months of work to erect this highly technical project measuring almost 10,000 m².
SCHREIBER, A SPECIALIST IN DAIRY PRODUCE
SCHREIBER, a leading player in the food sector, which specialises in processing dairy produce, arrived in France in 2017 with the takeover of an existing factory in Cléry-le-Petit (Meuse). This choice was largely down to the signature of an agreement with the Système U retail chain to supply it with yoghurts, fresh cheeses and desserts and confirms the presence of this company in France.
A NEW 9160 M² FACTORY
In order to satisfy all the industrial requirements, SCHREIBER entrusted THEBAULT INGENIERIE with the construction of a second factory on the same site as the existing production unit. This highly technical project was developed on 9160 m². It is based around several areas satisfying the entire production chain: reception, preparation of ingredients, processing, wet and dry packaging, heat treatment, cooling tunnel, storage and dispatch.
19 MONTHS OF WORK
It took THEBAULT INGENIERIE’s nineteen months of work to erect this project. There were several challenges to overcome during the construction, such as bulldozing and preparing the plot (1000 pillars and rigid columns) and the need to build part of the building on a 1.90 m deep cavity. In order to fulfil all the needs of SCHREIBER’s preparation and production process, the work was carefully divide up into phases with some parts being made available early, just nine months after work began. The keys were handed over and the new factory inaugurated last month.
