IDEC AGRO & Factory, which specialises in the design and construction of turnkey projects for the food sector will be starting work in April on the construction of a logistics building in Châteauneuf-sur-Loire (Loiret) for the LSDH Group (which specialises in the packaging of food products). This 17,000 m² project will be built over the next sixteen months.
THE FIRST PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN IDEC AGRO & FACTORY AND THE LSDH GROUP
Following on from a bid to tender for its new logistics platform in the Loiret department, the LSDH Group decided to entrust IDEC AGRO & Factory with its wealth of experience in the construction of turnkey property projects for those involved in the food sector. Work on this refined building will start in April 2020 after an HV cable has been moved.
TWO PROCESSES OVER 17,000 M2
This logistics building for the LSDH Group will house the equipment necessary for the ‘Les Crudettes’ brand and for dairy produce under the name ‘C’est Qui Le Patron?’ Most of the space will be divided up into two storage and preparation units covering 6000 m2.
A 20-M HIGH BUILDING
Apart from its large surface area, the logistics building will stretch 20 metres skywards, the limit under local planning rules. This high space will be very useful as the storage area will be above the preparation area. This matter was a genuine technical challenge, as the temperature has to be kept at 2°C (plus or minus 1°C). The refrigeration system uses ammonia to offer better performance and to deal with heat waves.
INCLUDING AN AUTOMATED PROCESS
This logistics building was designed around the automated equipment. Trucks are unloaded by employees and put onto a conveyor system. The products are sent to the two storage units via the conveyor systems and divided up into the two lines of picking tables. Once packed, the pallets are filmed and then dispatched.
