IDEC AGRO & Factory, the designer and builder of turnkey projects involving food factories has carried out the renovation and extension to part of SAINT-MICHEL’s production site in Saint-Père-en-Retz (Loire Atlantique). This project follows on from the first successful joint project in 2015 between the biscuit and pastry maker and IDEC AGRO & Factory.
EXTENSION AND RENOVATION OF OFFICES AND STAFF ROOMS
In order to cope with its development and keep up the pace at the factory in Saint-Père-en-Retz, the famous biscuit manufacturer once again relied on the teams from IDEC AGRO & Factory to carry out the renovation and extension work on their offices. SAINT-MICHEL’s aim was to obtain more spacious and comfortable work areas to their staff.
“We worked in conjunction with the teams from SAINT-MICHEL,” explained Hervé, Business manager at IDEC AGRO & Factory. “The project was shared with the various services at the Saint Père en Retz site to suit everyone’s requirements. Though these talks, SAINT-MICHEL was convinced they should once again trust the teams from IDEC AGRO & Factory.”
12 MONTHS OF WORK
After taking care of the design of the project, IDEC AGRO & Factory managed the construction work. It took twelve months to build the extension to the offices, staff rooms and a maintenance area and cloak rooms and temporarily move the offices, representing a total of 1057 m². A car park for light vehicles with 110 spaces was also set up.
SECOND PROJECT FOR SAINT MICHEL
This latest project comes after a successful joint project between IDEC AGRO & Factory and SAINT-MICHEL on a 17,000 m² extension to the factory in Saint-Père-en-Retz back in 2015. This project enabled the firm to keep up its fast production rates to deal with a growth in its business.
