IDEC AGRO & Factory, a subsidiary of the IDEC GROUP specialising in the design and construction of turnkey projects involving food factories and business premises, is working with NUTRI’BABIG on the extension and organisation of its new facilities in Carhaix-Plouguer (Finistère). This project stretches over more than 3000 m² and will be carried out in several phases with work due to be completed in November 2020.
AN EXTENSION OF MORE THAN 3000 M²
IDEC AGRO & Factory was awarded the contract to design and organise part of this huge industrial site. To meet NUTRI’BABIG’s production requirements, its teams erected a building to store ingredients covering around 1000 m² and a second building to store finished products measuring 2000 m². Additional buildings are planned, including an extension to the area dedicated to the sprinkler system, an extension to the building with storage tanks, the creation of an ‘osmosis’ area and an oil storage area.
WORK CARRIED OUT WHILE THE FACILITIES ARE IN USE
The construction of this reorganisation and extension project, which started just a few days ago will continue until November 2020. Several parts including the first units are due to be handed over early from April 2020. Carrying out work on this project will require careful planning to limit as much as possible the impact on the business of the two companies using the site, as they will be continuing to work there during the various phases of the construction process.
